600,000,000 Years

Electrical Shocks: 92 Go to the Beginning, Here! Go Back to 500,000,000 Years: Here! Onward to 700,000,000 years: Here! THE TIME: 600,000,000 Years BBB THE PLACE: The Open Ocean, with very chilled temps Lifeform Survival: 83% The Situation: 600,000,000 years and evolution has slowed, somewhat. The only noticable mutation is the addition of tiny little "feelers" on the end of your cell walls -- anything that touches them is in for a nasty bio-electric shock, much like the zap of an electric eel. Then you can surround the stunned prey and devour it. At these scales it's not noticable, but it might improve with time... You've elected to let the churning of the waters bring you all over the globe. This brings the addition of new sources of food, but also new sources of headache as new predators and rival bacteria get in your path to evolution. We have two new additions to the predator list (and two more tomorrow) and both of these guys are bad news for X. Neutralis Thromalius.

The first bacteria that arrives is G. Ethian Tromii, a powerhouse of a bacteria that has acid-dissolving holes on either end of itself. It's not fast, but anything that swims close and brushes its long "whiskers" will trigger it to thrash, spraying acid all over the place. While you're poison resistant, you're not acid resistant, and this has an effect on your numbers. The second bacteria is H. Liurgi Hueon, a "dual valved" bacteria that uses a venus flytrap tactic. It is large and it is slow, but anything that swims between its two "halves" has the halves slammed shut on them while the space between is filled with digestive enzymes, killing its target. You have more prolbems from G. Ethian Tromii than you do H. Liurgi Hueon, as the latter is very easy to swim away from and out of its way. In other news, basic predator cells are beginning to become resistant to your bio-shock, but that won't matter for a while yet. A. Snillix Sorteii is evolving fins to be faster, but that will be a while yet. P. Munni Selvon is slowly growing more and more interested in movement, and if it gets to be as fast as it is dangerous (even if the bacteria is avoidable right now)... things will get ugly for you. Onward to 700,000,000 years! Start suggesting new mutations :) Enemy Predator Cells: * Feed on Hydrogen Peroxide (Poison immunity) * Acid Resistant * Slightly resistant to electricity * Acidic, Toxic Blood (+Poison, +Acid) * Launchable Venomous Barbs, attached to tethers/nerves * Agile, can catch you * Great Size (+Strength, +Damage, -Speed) * Cell wall-shattering bite (making Spikes useless) Danger Level: 4/10

G. Ethian Tromii:

* Has acid-producing mouths on each end

* "Whiskers" detect long distance prey, enabling it to strike

* Not very large, but agile

Danger Level: 4/10 and Rising

H. Liurgi Hueon:

* Snaps self shut on other cells to feed

* Very large, very slow, floats with the current

* Easy to escape, kills the unwary

Danger Level: 2/10

A. Snillix Sorteii * Great Size (++Strength, +Damage, -Speed) * Entangling tentacles (Holds food fast) * Hunts X. Neutralis Thromalius specifically * Slow but patient, and getting faster Danger Level: 5/10 and Rising next turn P. Munni Selvon

* Huge Hooks (++Damage) * Very slow * Can't catch you, but it does kill the unwary * Attracted to Phosphorus * Metabolises Biological Slime for a speed boost Danger Level: 3/10 but Rising X. Neutralis Thromalius * Protective, Elastic Bio-Conductive Shell (++Armor, -Speed, +Counterattack) * Protective Coloration (+Stealth) * Water Jets (++Speed) * Poison Immunity * High "Willpower" (+Health) * Slow (due to the weight of the tail), not agile at all * Prehensile Tail used like a mace to stun (+Weight, +Damage) * Predatory (Prefers other cells to dead matter) * Moderately Large 68% to Carnivore-ism
