200,000,000 Years

Go to the Beginning, Here!

Go Back to 100,000,000 Years Here!

Go Forward to 300,000,000 Years: Here!

Larger Size: 34 (Nope) Serrated flagellum: 58 (Nope) Camoflage: 75 (Nope) Reproductive Boost: 51 (Nope) Multicellular-ism: 67 (Nope) Prehensile Tail: 81 (Nope) Parasitic Nature: 65 (Nope) No mutations rolled higher than 90, applying highest roll (Prehensile Tail). THE TIME: 200,000,000 Years BBB THE PLACE: The Deepest Ocean, with bone chilling temps Lifeform Survival: 88% The Situation: X. Neutralis Thromalius has reached 200,000,000 years. Since X. Neutralis Thromalius is unable to escape its predators, it instead tries to evolve a larger size, so as to not be "swallow-able" or engulfed by the other bacteria in the ocean. This doesn't work, as it just turns into a size race which the opponent bacteria wins in the long run.

Thus, X. Neutralis Thromalius attempts all manner of other defensive measures. First there is an attempt at camoflage. Unfortunately it doesn't work as the bacteria seems to have a distinct chemical "scent" or signal. Then X. Neutralis Thromalius attempts a faster reproductive rate so as to outproduce its opponents, but all it does is give predatory bacteria more to eat, FURTHER increasing in size. THEN X. Neutralis Thromalius tries to become multi-celluar and thus adaptable to more situations, but your bacteria doesn't seem to have the idea quite worked out; more than one cell around a nucleus tends to turn to cancer instead, killing the cell. An attempt to backlash against a dangerous predator by turning parasitic seems to work slightly, but the opposing species of bacteria evolve toxic blood making it poisonous to devour. At a loss for ideas, X. Neutralis Thromalius decides if it can't dodge 'em, beat them to a living pulp instead! X. Neutralis Thromalius evolves a long (almost centimeter, which is really long at these scales) elastic tail. While useless for movement, it packs a wallop against anything coming close, smashing through cell wall and cell nucleus alike. The stunned (or even killed) cells can then be surrounded and devoured with a minimum of trouble and the poisons they've built up spewed back into the environment. 200,000,000 years complete. Start suggesting new stuff for the new situation, and I will post again tomorrow. Enemy Predator Cells: * Feed on Hydrogen Peroxide (Poison immunity) * Acid Resistant * Toxic Blood * Very Agile (rendering fins and tails useless for now) * Moderately Large Evolves Great Size next update

Evolves Acidic Blood next update Danger Level: 3/10 (8+ and you're in trouble) X. Neutralis Thromalius * Protective Shell (+Armor, -Speed) * Poison Resistance

* Distinct Chemical Signal (-Stealth) * High "Willpower" (+Health) * Slow (due to the combined weight of the tail + shell), not agile at all, cannot escape predators * Prehensile Tail used like a mace to stun (+Weight, +Damage) * Predatory (Prefers other cells to dead matter) * Moderately Large Evolves Great Size OR Poison Immunity next update, your choice
